Rumbunter found this. These past few days have been as slow as any since Christmas, and Opening Day still feels like eons from now, so this 2011 highlight video is well-timed. And I'm not a big radio-rock guy, but the song is a good one. Certainly, it's a lot less depressing for a Pirates highlight video than this one was.
As with most of these things I understand why the game audio isn’t sufficient. Who needs the song, any song, let alone that one.

I remember that game....
I was at a wedding that night. I couldn’t eat much because I still sick from Thursday night. I made it home in time to see the top of the 9th. I thought when the game ended: “Yeah, I’ll be able to watch the Sunday afternoon game, so they’re probably gonna lose since they can only win 2 of 3 this season.” (And I was right).

Yeah
I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to go to the 14 inning Rockies game. I went with about 10 people and as the game went along, they all started to drop off until I was the only one left. By the time Tabata hit the ball off the wall to win it, I was more excited that the game was over and I could get out of the cold than I was that the Pirates won the game.

I’m definitely satisfied with the 2011 season, when looking at the whole picture. Clearly, after about 100 games, the first place standing on July 25th wasn’t a true indicator on the 2011 Bucs. I don’t think the poor finish over last 60 games was an accurate picture either, the spate of injuries in August played a role in the downturn. Overall, some players overachieved, while others underachieved.
I don’t get Root Sports, but it sounds like a good idea to replay some of exciting wins. With all due respect, I don’t think there is any useful purpose in dwelling on the negative recent times of this club, we’re all experts in this matter. Nationally, this franchise has taken a beating the last few years after passing the Phillies record.

just because of the cheeseball songs people always use. But what would a proper song be!? i’m a music snob, but most of the stuff you listen to what not be good for a highlights video. Can’t set Neil Walker making an awesome defensive stab to a Strokes tune? it just wouldnt work.
Maybe QOTSA or something or you could go throwback awesome crap like MAIDEN baby. I want to make an all Ryan Doumit Iron Maiden highlight video

Many of them will be considered to be of the same genre as Danzig and Kyuss, et al, but are more “melodic” than merely “thudding.”
I’d consider QOTSA and Iron Maiden both to be examples of that – there are dozens of others.
